Leeds man and 'loving son' dies two weeks after motorbike crash

A "loving son and brother" from Leeds who died in after a motorbike crash has been named as Damian McNamara.

The 52-year-old was riding a Triumph motorbike when he collided head on with a Peugeot, at around 6.45am on Friday, February 28.

The crash happened on the B6480 in a village called Wennington in Lancashire.

Lancashire Police say Damian, who has been described by his family as "a loving son and brother", suffered serious injuries and died in hospital on March 12.

The 77-year-old who was driving the Peugeot was not injured.

Sergeant Helen Parkinson said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with Mr McNamara’s family and friends at this sad time.

“Our investigation into the collision is very much continuing and we are asking anyone who saw the incident or has any dashcam footage of it, or of either vehicle in the moments before the collision, to contact us straight away.”
