Leeds Kitty Cafe has shared dramatic footage of the moment a thug broke into the premises and smashed their way into the charity donations box.
The owners have shared the CCTV on their social channels in a bid to trace the suspect, after the incident which happened at around 11.50pm on Sunday night.
It is the second time the Leeds city centre cafe has been targeted this year after a thief smashed through the shop window to steal donations back in March.
The cafe has confirmed that the cats which live in the premises are all fine. Officers had attended and searched the area but the suspect had left the scene.
In a post shared on Facebook, the owners said: "He triggered the alarms and we immediately were altered along with the police but unfortunately he got out before they arrived on site.
"The cats are being cared for whilst the Kitty Cafe Family clean up - wish us luck!"

Lorna Lacey, manager of Kitty Cafe, told LeedsLive: "They've smashed the full window, come in and gone straight for the donation boxes with the crowbar. They were literally not even in for five minutes.
"It's not something that you want to come into on any day really - never mind on a Monday morning."
Staff have come in outside of their regulated hours to help clean up the cafe to ensure it can reopen again at midday today (Monday).
