Leeds hospitals record no new coronavirus deaths for third day running

No new coronavirus deaths have been recorded in hospitals in Leeds for the third day running.

It means that, in just over a month, there has been just two deaths from the virus in Leeds hospitals and the district's total remains at 340.

There have been no deaths recorded in any other Yorkshire hospital since Thursday either - the longest the region has gone since the first patient died from the virus at a Mid Yorkshire NHS hospital in March.

Yorkshire's death toll remains at 2,585.

Nationally, two hospitals recorded two coronavirus deaths, in Blackpool and West Hertfordshire.

"Patients were aged between 89 and 91 years old. Both had known underlying health conditions.
