Leeds hospitals record no new coronavirus deaths for 19th day running

Leeds hospitals have not recorded a coronavirus death for almost three weeks.

The latest data, released by the NHS today, shows Leeds has had its 19th day with no new deaths in hospitals.

Three new deaths were recorded in other Yorkshire hospitals though - two in Bradford and one in Mid Yorkshire.

It takes the total Yorkshire deaths to 2,572.

Nationally, five people died in hospitals with coronavirus.

An NHS spokesperson said: "A further 5 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,352.

"Patients were aged between 66 and 95 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.

"Their families have been informed."

York still 214

Harrogate still 82

Sheffield still 289

Leeds still 338

Rotherham still 210

Barnsley still 148

Mid Yorkshire was 331, now 332

Bradford was 236, now 238

Hull still 206

Airedale still 109

East Yorkshire still 232

Calderdale & Huddersfield still 159
