Leeds homeless man leaves desperate note on his tent in plea to find work

A homeless man living in a tent in Leeds has posted a desperate plea to find work on a note.

The note, fixed to the front of the tent with fluorescent string, says: "Homeless please help willing to work.

"I will work hard any help will be much appreciated thankyou" followed by a contact number.

A photo of the tent was posted on Facebook group Leedsplace, showing the man's note left outside of the tent.

The man, who is said to be living near B&M in Armley, is believed to have been living around the area for a number of months.

The identity of the man is not yet known.

Posting the photo on the Facebook group, Kimmi Wood wrote: "Seen this is anyone know anyone that could give this person a try? We are Leeds and we all try help one and another thank you."

The post was left on the group at 2pm, and just one hour later, over 150 people had commented.

One person said: "Someone’s bound to see this and have a heart sounds like they want to re-start there life so fair play to them - hope they get the help they deserve and need."

Another said: "You never know why someone is homeless, hope someone give him a chance to get back on his feet."

While Donna said: "He’s a lovely guy he really needs a chance."

LeedsLive have attempted to contact the man but has been unable to at time of publishing.
