Leeds have been told by Club Brugge they are under no pressure to sell Dutch winger Noa Lang.
Leeds are tracking Lang after he scored 17 goals and made seven assists for Brugge to help them win the Belgian title last season while on loan from Ajax.
Brugge have triggered an option in the loan agreement to sign him permanently from Ajax for £5.2million and coach Philippe Clement insists they do not have to cash in on him for a quick profit.
Clement does not want to lose Lang and insists he will only leave for “really large amounts”.
He said: “Today, we are in a different situation. We can now refuse certain offers. Our strong players will only leave for really large amounts.”

Leeds face competition to sign Lang and his form has attracted interest from all over Europe.
Leeds are considering their next move and want to sign another attacker to take some of the goalscoring burden off Patrick Bamford’s shoulders.
Lang, 22, came through at Ajax and scored a hat-trick on his full debut for the Dutch side against FC Twente in December 2019.
Lang’s rival, KRC Genk striker Cyriel Dessers, believes he has the quality to succeed in the Premier League.
“He’s absolutely ready for the Premier League,” he said. “He was fantastic last season. Then it is logical that there is a next step.
“I would love to see him in the Champions League with Club Brugge, but he has shown that he is one of the best footballers in Belgium.
“He is a graceful footballer, but he also works very hard. I often sat on the bench, so I could keep an eye on him there.
“But the way he works, I didn’t know he had that in him.
“He has really taken a step up. The interest does not come out of nowhere, I know how Leeds work.”
