Leeds forward Rodrigo makes Manchester United admission after summer transfer

Leeds United record signing Rodrigo has set his sights on scoring past his international teammate David de Gea during the Whites' clash with Manchester United next season.

Marcelo Bielsa guided United's rivals to the Championship title last season which secured their long awaited return to England's top division.

United and Leeds have not faced off in the Premier League since February 2004. The last meeting between the pair came in the League Cup back in 2011 with United emerging victorious at Elland Road.

Leeds will travel to Old Trafford on December 19 though that fixture is subject to change.

Bielsa broke the club's transfer record to strengthen his forward line with the addition of Spain international Rodrigo who is looking forward to face United and his international teammate De Gea following his switch to England.

"In the Premier League we have a lot of teams," he said when asked who is looking forward to facing the most.

"Premier League is special because it’s very competitive, but of course we always want to play against Liverpool, Tottenham [Hotspur], Man[chester] City, but, for me, the special game is going to be against Man United.

"I already played against them with Benfica and with Valencia. The atmosphere of the stadium is very great.

"Playing against Man United and, of course, playing against my national team-mate David de Gea. It would be special for me to score some goals [past him]."

The return fixture between the two sides is currently scheduled for April 24.
