Leeds Festival has introduced a big Main Stage change for 2019 to improve safety

Leeds Festival has announced a big change around their famous Main Stage as they look to improve safety.

The arena is now open at Bramham Park with a huge weekend of music to look forward to. The Main Stage will see headline performances from Foo Fighters, The 1975, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots.

Thousands are expected to watch the massive acts at the Main Stage and to improve safety the festival has put a new barrier in place around it.

The festival posted the news on its official website.

The post said: “Your safety is our number one priority, which is why we’ve introduced a new barrier system at the Main Stage.

“The primary barrier is not a golden circle but will have restricted capacity.

“You will be able to move in and out of the area between acts but please respect instructions from our security team when it is full. Have a great weekend.”

It is thought the new barrier will help bring jams and bottlenecks to an end - helping the crowds to flow smoothly.
