Leeds Festival boss reveals the standout difference from Reading every year

Benn was , which will see star acts perform including the Foo Fighters, Post Malone and The 1975.

When asked by LeedsLive about the difference between the northern and southern sites, Benn needed no second invitation to wax lyrical about the Leeds crowd.

"I guess the northern atmosphere is unquestionably there." Benn said.

"You can't describe it, you can't write it down, you can't measure it on a Richter scale or anything like that, but it's there, and that's a great separation.

"I think the site is beautiful and that's an incredible separation, I think the additional things we have like the Relentless Stage, the Piccadilly Party, the Dance to the Radio stage, the Anachronica Stage, there's a lot more goes on that we don't necessarily fly the flag about all that much.

"But, overall, I'd say it's the atmosphere.

"It's that intangible that you can't touch, that you know you're in the north and you know that you're among people who will look after each other."
