Leeds Festival 2021 issue urgent update against tickets scammers

Leeds Festival has issued an urgent warning against ticket scammers.

Organisers confirmed this year’s event will go ahead at Bramham Park in response to the government’s roadmap out of coronavirus lockdown measures.

Leeds Fest, and its sister event in Reading, will take place between August 27 and 29. Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, Post Malone, Queens of the Stone Age, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Disclosure will top the bill.

Demand for tickets has been high with them quickly selling out after the government’s announcement. There are some available for resale through official outlets but organisers are concerned people are being hoaxed on social media by ticket scammers.

On Facebook, they issued a statement, which said: “There are lots of people selling tickets to Reading and Leeds that might not even exist.

“Only buy from authorised resellers. They are all listed on our website. If you need to sell your tickets, Ticketmaster and SeeTicktets, both have resale platforms or you can use Twickets.

“If you turn up with a fake ticket you will be turned away - don’t chance it.”

Leeds Live runs a Leeds Festival Facebook group and we’ve regularly warned against buying tickets from unauthorised sellers. We also won’t actively approve resale posts.

The group provides Leeds Fest news and gossip and you can join the group here.
