Leeds feels the neighbourly love as one of the friendliest places in the country

People in Leeds are more friendly with their neighbours than those in most other cities across the country.

Whether it's signing for a parcel, feeding your neighbour's cats when they're on holiday or even inviting them round for a drink, it seems as though we're a friendly bunch, with 90 per cent of people from Leeds saying they get on with the folks living next door.

In fact, Leeds was ranked as the most friendly town or city anywhere in Yorkshire and came eighth on the national list, behind the likes of Nottingham, Cardiff and Newcastle.

The research, conducted by mobile network giffagff, reveals that more than half of us have a natter with our neighbours over the fence, while almost 40 per cent of us bring our neighbour's bins in too.

These are the weirdest noise complaints made to Leeds City Council

The sense of community spirit is so strong that 22 per cent of people say that they wouldn't move from Leeds as they don't think anywhere else offers as much neighbourly love.
