Leeds United fans call for Derby County's Tom Lawrence to be banned

Leeds fans are calling for Tom Lawrence to be banned after the Derby County man appeared to successfully deceive a match official in his side’s 3-1 win over West Brom.

Lawrence went down under the challenge of Kyle Bartley in the second-half of his side’s game at Pride Park.

Referee Tim Robinson had no hesitation in pointing to the spot, and Harry Wilson coolly converted from 12-yards out.

But replays appeared to show Lawrence dived, and now Whites fans are calling on the Football Association to ban the 25-year-old.

This comes after Marcel Bielsa's side had Patrick Bamford banned for two games by the FA for a similar offence in his side’s draw with Aston Villa last weekend .

One fan said: "@EFL @FA @FAspokesperson so, are you going to give a two match ban for Tom Lawrence of Derby for deceiving the referee? #wva #derby."

While another added: "@EFL what time will you be making your announcement that Tom Lawrence has been charged with successfully deceiving match officials and subsequently received a 2 game ban?
