An explosion in Leeds left dozens of residents stunned with some originally thinking an earthquake had struck the city.
A loud blast was heard shortly at roughly 2.15pm today and fire crews are at the scene .
Laura Bailey told LeedsLive: "Everybody just ran out of their houses in a state of panic. The whole street came out.
"I rang 101 and they told me there has been a gas explosion at the top of the road.
"All the buildings shook. I thought bit was an earthquake. It was heart stopping.
"I watched the windows literally moving and shaking. I’ve never heard anything like it in my life."

The blast is reported to have been heard in the vicinity of Seacroft and Whinmoor.
Shania Leach said: “It sounded a lot closer than what it was, I thought it was someone out on the street, but then my little sister shouted down from upstairs that she could see smoke from the shop.
"When I stood up to go and see what was going on outside it was just a massive shake, it just threw me and the windows were just shaking, I thought the windows were going to go through."
A statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "At 2.20pm today police were contacted by the fire service reporting an explosion in the vicinity of the Londis store, in Wetherby Road, Wellington Hill, Leeds.
"Emergency services are currently at the scene.
"Early indications are that a gas canister has exploded in a fire causing damage to nearby properties.
"There are currently no reports of any injuries but emergency services are continuing to check the scene."
