Leeds has seen another concerning surge in new coronavirus cases according to the most recent figures.
The city recorded another 55 cases of Covid-19 the second highest rise in new cases just behind Bradford.
It means that the total number of cases since the pandemic began in the area now stands at 4,664.
In Yorkshire another 241 cases of the virus were confirmed.
In the latest figures published by Public Health England it shows Bradford once again has the highest rise with a further 69 cases of Covid-19.
It means that the total number of cases in the region since the pandemic began now stands at 35,589.
The news comes after it was confirmed that a further two people have lost their lives to the virus in Yorkshire.
The deaths were recorded at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Nationally 15 people were recorded to have died in England's hospitals according to the latest figures.
