A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed that the driver was not injured.

He remained at the scene and is thought to have climbed out of the Seat car through the boot.

The crash happened just before 6am today. The police spokesman said the car was not stolen.

Structural engineers and firefighters were also called to the scene.
