Neighbours were reportedly in tears after the incident. One resident who lives on a neighbouring road told The Yorkshire Post: “It’s a quiet estate. It’s got a good sense of community. There’s never really any anti-social behaviour or anything.

"I’m shocked and saddened. I’m surprised and a bit confused about it all.”

A statement from West Yorkshire Police: "At 11:49am today, police were called to an address in Beeston Way, Allerton Bywater, after concerns were raised for the occupants.

"Officers attended and three people were found dead inside the property.

"A scene has been established and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances."
