Leeds customers first in the country to try Aldi's new limited edition food range

People shopping at Aldi this week may notice some new products on the shelves, with the budget supermarket chain introducing a range of limited edition items.

Aldi has almost 850 stores across the country, but the new stock is currently only available in the 29 stores across West Yorkshire, including all of its supermarkets in Leeds.

Three new sandwiches, all served on bloomer bread, are available from today (Tuesday).

Customers in Leeds can now choose from the sage chicken and Serrano ham sandwich, the Ayrshire cured ham hock and farmhouse cheddar sandwich or the New York deli pastrami with Emmental cheese sandwich.

They each cost £2.29 and the popularity of the sandwiches with customers in Leeds will determine whether the range is then rolled out across the rest of the country.
