A Leeds boy has created a genius way to encourage people to pick up dog poo while out on their walks.
Sealie Page-Davison has placed poo bag dispensers at the entrances to his local park in Woodlesford to remind owners to clean up after their pooches.
The 10-year-old thought of the idea after noticing dog owners had not been cleaning up after their dogs on Woodlesford Recreational Ground and looked at ways to encourage them to ‘keep the area clean’.
His mother, Charlotte-Rose Page-Bulloch, 30, said the bags used by Sealie are biodegradable and she is proud of him.
She said: “When he was walking around the park during his daily exercise with his dogs, and he asked why is poo being left and why the owners had forgotten the bags.
“He then said maybe if we bring extra bags we can give them to people.
“We decided to put the dispensers at the entrances to the park and then they might think ‘I forgot my bags I will get them now’ (at the dispensers).
“When he was little he would watch David Attenborough.
“He really loves nature, when he sees litter he says that’s not kind. He doesn’t understand why people don’t look after the places they live in.”
Charlotte-Rose posted his poo dispensers on Facebook after placing them on Sunday and the post received more than 220 likes. Sealie was 'excited' to see people liked his idea.
