Leeds' best bars and pubs to watch England in the 2022 World Cup

For the first time ever the FIFA World Cup is taking place in the winter.

So, while we’d usually associate watching the football out in fan zones and beer gardens basking in the sun we are in for a slightly different experience this year. The action in Qatar kicks off on Sunday, November 20 with Gareth Southgate’s England side playing their first match at 1pm on Monday, November 21.

In Leeds, there’s lots of great places you’ll be able to watch the Three Lions as well as the tournament's biggest games. Our guide is offering a helping hand for some of the best places to cheer England on with a pint across Leeds.

It is also worth noting England’s other two Group B matches will be happening on Friday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 29 - with both matches kicking off at 7pm. Then hopefully, they will then be appearing in the knock-out stages of the competition.
