'Leeds aren't that good' - Simon Jordan's Marcelo Bielsa doubts as he takes aim at Leeds United

Leeds United are once again the centre of talkSPORT's attention with Simon Jordan taking the opportunity to have a pop at Marcelo Bielsa after Monday night's 4-1 defeat to Leicester City.

The Whites were comfortably beaten at home by a side that finished fifth in the Premier League last season, with a host of injuries and absentees not helping their cause.

Bielsa's side have made a fine start to the season and have been rightfully praised for adapting to life in the Premier League and competing against Liverpool and Manchester City earlier this season.

Gabriel Agbonlahor was at the centre of a row with Leeds fans on talkSPORT after claiming they were a "myth", only for his Aston Villa to get walloped 3-0 at home days later.

Jordan has now taken up the mantle from his radio colleague by suggesting it was no surprise to see Leeds beaten by Leicester and claiming Brendan Rodgers, rather than Bielsa, is an elite managers.

"We're speaking about Bielsa because of Leeds," Jordan told talkSPORT.

"Leeds are this huge football club that have been in the doldrums for 16, 17 years. Bielsa has come in and woke them all up.

"I'm not a Bielsa acolyte, I think he's a great coach. I don't bow at the temple of Bielsa like all of these other managers seems to do, Pep Guardiola or Mauricio Pochettino or whoever else is eulogising this guy.

"I fully expected, I don't see that result last night as a surprise. Why is it a surprise? Elland Road isn't a fortress because there are no fans there, Leeds are a promoted side, Leicester are an established top-six contending Premier League side.

"Brendan Rodgers is an elite manager. Why would that result be a surprise to people? Leeds aren't that good."

Here's what Leeds fans had to say.

The Whites will be hoping to bounce back on Saturday against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, coincidentally the club that Jordan owned before selling in 2009.
