Leeds Apprentice star Sian Gabbidon making leopard print face masks

The 2018 winner of BBC One's hit show The Apprentice has launched her own range of face masks alongside her swimwear collection.

Proud Leeds girl Sian Gabbidon, who shot to fame after being crowned as Lord Alan Sugar's apprentice in 2018, has spent the past two years gearing up her fashion business after being handed £250,000 for winning the show.

The Leeds United fan's business, Sian Marie, specialises in swimwear and loungewear and she launched her business at a star-studded event in Leeds in 2018, when she said she was "proud to be flying the flag for the north".

However, the global pandemic has forced Sian to add a dramatic new item for customers.

Leopard print face masks are now available for customers to buy, so that they can protect themselves and others from coronavirus.

She is also selling a range of other face masks on her website, with the material strikingly similar to some of the swimsuits.

Her latest venture has drawn praise from business partner and mentor Lord Sugar, who tweeted to say: "Former Apprentice @sianmariefash has launched reversible & reusable unisex facemasks in leopardprint!"

The face masks are made from recycled material, but a message on the website warns that they should not be used for medical purposes - so they are not up to the required standards for people working in hospitals or care homes.

A statement says: "These are NOT medical masks, but they WILL be effective in capturing droplets  – meaning it is much more effective to wear a mask than not when you’re doing your shopping or exercising outdoors to both protect yourself and protect others from you."
