The Leeds accent is less attractive than the Scouse, Mancunian and Lancashire accents.
That is according to the results of a poll run by media company Big 7 Travel, which asked 1.5 million people to vote for the sexiest – and least sexy – accents in the UK.
They used the results to compile a ranking of the top 50 sexiest accents and Leeds was ranked 17th.
Essex somehow came out on top and Mancunian (5th), Scouse (6th), Geordie (7th) and Yorkshire (9th) all made it into the top 10.
Our beloved Leeds accent may be lower down the list, but it still beat Bradford (27th), Sheffield (41st), Salford (42nd) and Hull (48th).
A spokeswoman for Big 7 Travel' said: "The results of our survey show just how diverse the UK really is, with some accents considered surprisingly sexier than others.
"The Essex accent is often imitated for comic effect yet it is now the most attractive, no doubt thanks to many people's binge watching of TOWIE.
"Northern English accents impressed our readers overall, with the distinctive Leeds accent making more than a few go weak at the knees."
