Lee Westwood reveals how British Airways have lost his golf clubs

Nottinghamshire golfer Lee Westwood has revealed his golf clubs have gone missing on a British Airways flight.

The Worksop-born professional, who turned pro in 1993 and boasts an impressive 24 wins on the European Tour, most recently competed in the WGC tournament in Mexico, where he finished tied in 33rd place.

'Considerable interest' in Nottingham Forest's bitter rivals Derby County

“@British_Airways have lost my clubs so I’ll be using new everything today. To use an analogy, they’ve done a successful Guy Fawkes on me,” he wrote on Twitter.

British Airways responded by saying it was "disappointed" to hear of the mix-up.

The 45-year-old, who also supports Nottingham Forest, joked he would have to use a whole set of new clubs, having previously made a jovial reference to the chaotic Brexit situation.
