Lee Ryan claps back at vile trolls who target him for gaining weight in lockdown

Lee Ryan hit back at vile trolls who criticised the singer for gaining weight while in lockdown.

The former member of Blue, 36, was enjoying some family time over the weekend with his mum and girlfriend Verity when he received the cruel comments.

During the social media clips, Lee was showing off his singing talents on video and at one point belted a rendition of Spandau Ballet from his sunny rooftop.

Unfortunately, mean trolls decided to attack the musician for his appearance during the family karaoke session.

Lee headed inside before filming another story where he proudly shut down the fat shaming viewers and urged his followers to 'be kind'.

"So listen right, a few people are on at me for having fun and saying, 'Oh s**t, you look like you've put on a bit of timber'," he began in the video.

"Who ain't in this lockdown?

"No one is going out and doing their usual routine. Be kind to people, we will all lose it eventually.

"Be happy, be with your family and be kind and loving to people. Especially during this time.."

Despite the nasty remarks, the singer-songwriter continued to enjoy his adorable family day.

Lee was then joined by his girlfriend Verity to sing a powerful rendition of Let's Stay Together by Al Green.

Sharing the messages with his 168,000 Instagram followers, however, Lee didn't stop there.

On Monday, the singer spoke about a negative energy he has recently experienced during the lockdown.

On his social media story, he added: "Is it me or have people got well aggy lately? Like even walking down the street people look at you like you have leprosy and have some self entitlement to be a bloody rude t**t!"
