With just one blow killer Shane Gray ended Lee Matthewson's life, when the pair came together during a row that had nothing to do with either of them.
The 21-year-old victim went to a house in Ashington, Northumberland, with a friend who wanted to confront Gray's brother about a girl.
But Gray, of Wansbeck Street, North Seaton,, ended up picking up a kitchen knife and plunging it into Newcastle United fan Lee's chest, in 2009.
Lee, from Amble, Northumberland, collapsed in the street and, despite emergency surgery at Wansbeck Hospital, he died a few hours later.
Gray, who was just 19 at the time, was charged with murder, but prosecutors accepted a plea of manslaughter and was jailed for five years.
