Lee Johnson says Sunderland should get used to seeing Kyril Louis-Dreyfus as takeover creeps closer

Sunderland boss Lee Johnson has revealed that the club are still waiting for Kryil Louis-Dreyfus takeover to be given the green light from the EFL.

It comes after Louis-Dreyfus watched on as Sunderland limped to a 2-1 defeat away at Shrewsbury Town.

Johnson says that fans should expect to see more of the prospective owner in the coming weeks as he gets his message across prior to a takeover.

There is no immediate update on the completion of the takeover but Johnson said the deal is very close.

Speaking to the press today, Johnson said: "I'll be honest I haven't had any conversations with the the chairman in a while.

"Kyril [ Louis-Dreyfus ] was at the latest game and I expect us to get used to having him around the place.

"Everything I hear is that it's as close as it can get."
