Lee Duffy has landed a new club after his Covid-19 scare.
The attacking midfielder has joined First Division side Athlone Town who have also swooped for American Taner Dogan who had a brief spell with Dundalk.
In March, ex-Shelbourne, Drogheda United and Longford Town player Duffy revealed how he 'could no longer breathe on his own’ after contracting Covid.
He spent eight days in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus that month.
But Duffy is eager to get going with Athlone and said: “I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch and having a good season.”
