Lee Dixon sends message to Arsenal players ahead of North London Derby vs Spurs

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has sent a message to the Gunners' players ahead of the North London Derby.

Unai Emery's men take on Spurs in the derby on Sunday afternoon, as their fierce rivals travel to the Emirates Stadium for the first of at least two meetings between the two sides this season.

As with any big games, apprehension and excitement is building for the match, with fans looking to have the bragging rights for the foreseeable future.

Dixon is already up for the match, and has taken to social media to share his message for the Arsenal players as they prepare to take on Tottenham.

"I'm trying to think of a message for the lads," he says in the video.

"To gee them up for Sunday....ahh, I've got it, I've thought of it," he continues, before turning to the camera a shouting "come on Arsenal!"

The message was met with a positive response from Gunners fans, although some admitted that it did make them jump.

Dixon spent 14 years as a player at Arsenal, making 448 appearances for the club. The full-back played in 22 North London Derbies against Spurs, winning eight, drawing 11 and losing the remaining four, scoring one goal against Arsenal's fierce rivals.

The former player will be hoping that his message will inspire the Arsenal team to three points on Sunday.
