Lee Chadwick returns at Bellator in Dublin in battle of former Cage Warriors champions

Liverpool’s Lee Chadwick returns to the cage in September against Karl Moore in a battle of former Cage Warriors champions.

Chadwick, nicknamed The Butcher, held the middleweight belt in Cage Warriors before moving over to Bellator last year.

Meanwhile, Moore was Cage Warrior's light heavyweight champion , and it’s at that weight that the two men will meet for Bellator in Dublin on September 27.

Both men are in need of the victory. Moore hasn’t fought since March 2018, when he was knocked out by Mauro Cerilli.

Chadwick lost on his Bellator debut to Fabian Edwards, but bounced back with victory over James Mulheron in Birmingham back in April.

The Huyton-born fighter will now be hoping to put together consecutive wins and put himself in contention in the light heavyweight division.

Chadwick says the fight is “meant to be” and believes he’s the more technical of the two men.

He said: “I believe this fight is perfect for me, he’s a big guy,  decent all round but not as technical as me and not as tough as me either.”

“He was Cage Warriors world champ at the same time as me but weight above, light heavyweight, but now we both at the same weight, it’s meant to be!

“I’m going to use this fight to bring my best out.

“I want two more big wins then I’ll be chasing the world title. It’s all I think about. I’m obsessed.”
