Lee Bowyer's managerial record amid Leeds United rumours

Leeds United are reportedly weighing up the possibility of appointing Lee Bowyer as manager until the end of the season.

That is according to the Mail, who claim that Andrea Radrizzani is considering sacking Javi Gracia after just 10 weeks in charge.

Gracia collected three wins from his first six league matches at the helm, but has seen his side fall to five defeats in seven - conceding 23 goals in the process.

Leeds succumbed to a 4-1 defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday, and sit just one-point above the relegation zone with fellow relegation rivals Leicester City and Everton set to go head-to-head on Monday night.

Bowyer has been out of a job since his sacking from Birmingham back in the summer, but the former Leeds midfielder is now reportedly being viewed as a short-term option to take the reins at Elland Road.

With that in mind, LeedsLive have taken a look at his managerial record...

Charlton Athletic (March 2018 - March 2021)

Played: 157

Won: 64

Drawn: 37

Lost: 56

Win percentage: 40.8%

Bowyer became caretaker manager at Charlton in March 2018 after serving as assistant manager under Karl Robinson at The Valley.

He led them to the League One play-offs semi-final and was handed the permanent gig in September 2018. His first full season resulted in promotion to the Championship via the League One play-offs.

Charlton suffered immediate relegation from the Championship, and Bowyer announced his resignation in March 2021.

Birmingham City (March 2021 - July 2022)

Played: 59

Won: 17

Drawn: 16

Lost: 26

Win percentage: 28.8%

Bowyer succeeded Aitor Karanka at Birmingham City the day after resigning from his post at Charlton. The Blues collected five wins from their final 10 games to comfortably survive relegation.

Birmingham finished in 17th place in his only full season at the helm and Bowyer was relieved of his duties in July 2022.
