Lee Anderson spoon feeds fellow Nottinghamshire MP baked beans on new GB News Show

The first episode of Nottinghamshire MP Lee Anderson's new GB News show provided food for thought as he spoon fed a fellow Notts MP baked beans. Lee Anderson, MP for Ashfield, appeared on the news channel at 7pm for his new show, Lee Anderson's Real World, where he was joined by Brendan Clarke-Smith MP during the episode.

During his show the pair discussed the price of baked beans in a segment, before Conservative party deputy chairman Mr Anderson then arranged for Mr Clarke-Smit to try three different brands of baked beans, which he spoon fed to him. The test came weeks after Bassetlaw MP Mr Clarke-Smith made comments on LBC that those complaining about the price of baked beans going up, should just by a cheaper brand.

They had some Heinz beans, Co-op baked beans and Lidl baked beans, of which Mr Clarke-Smith had to decide which tasted the best. Mr Anderson said: "I'm going to mix them up, and you're going to tell me which is the best one.

What three words would you use to describe Nottinghamshire? Let us know

"There is a spoon incoming, open your mouth. Here comes the train." Mr Clarke-Smith described the first baked beans as being "fluffy" and having a "nutty twang."

His second baked beans option were very "plain", he said whilst the third spoonful of baked beans he was fed was "strong." Deciding on his findings, he stated that the second ones he tried were the best, which were from the Co-operative.

During his show, the two Nottinghamshire MPs also discussed a school that allowed a student to identify as a cat, and Mrs Farage also spoke to Nigel Farage about the Brexit vote seven years on. Many viewers took to Twitter to share their disappointment over the MPs eating baked beans.

One viewer tweeted: "The Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party Lee Anderson spooning cold baked beans into the mouth of another Tory MP. True Friday night entertainment on GB News."

Another added: "Tory deputy chairman Lee Anderson spoons cold beans into the mouth of former Tory minister Brendan Clarke-Smith. Two sitting MPs. Nvm mortgage and rent misery about to hit like a thunderbolt. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns."

A third stated: "Lee Anderson who’s paid £100k to host GB News spending 30p on a tin of beans for his show. Money well spent?" A fourth added: "Lee Anderson's Real World" seems like a contradiction in terms"
