Lech Poznan suffer Rangers injury crisis as Polish side decimated for Europa League group decider

Lech Poznan have been decimated by injuries ahead of Thursday night's final Europa League group stage game against Rangers.

Georgia striker Nika Kaczarawa is set for a spell on the sidelines and that leaves the Polish side with only one forward available.

Victory for Steven Gerrard's men will secure first place in Group D regardless of what rivals Benfica are able to muster against Standard Liege.

Lech bowed out of the tournament last week while the Light Blues sealed last 32 qualification with a game to spare and boss Dariusz Zuraw was already set to rotate his team and keep key men for Ekstraklasa action.

But his options have been reduced even further now after it was revealed on loan Anorthosis striker Kaczarawa would be missing for over a month after being clattered in their last Europa League game by Benfica defender Nicolas Otamendi last week.

It means Lech will have to rely on Swedish striker Mikael Ishak, who was suffering from cramp in his last game at the weekend after playing 21 games already this season.

Young Polish back-up striker Filip Szymczak is also injured and Lech will be down to the bare bones for the clash against the Premiership leaders.
