LeBron watches as Bryce and Bronny play late-night hoops out back with Shaq’s sons

LeBron James had a proud dad moment last night and shared it with the world on Instagram. While sitting inside his sprawling mansion, James watched through the window as his sons, Bryce and Bronny, played late-night hoops out back with Shaquille O’Neal’s boys, Shareef and Shaquir. The summer hoops scene sparked up nostalgia for the King and took LeBron back to his days of hooping under the summer streetlights in Akron, Ohio.

“Man, I remember these nights like it was yesterday,” LeBron posted on IG along with a 90-second video of the James boys hooping with the O’Neal’s. “Late night hoops with the homies.”

The pickup game featuring the sons of Hall-of-Famers was a break from the AAU circuit and player development grind. They appeared to play at a lower-than-regulation rim in order to emphasize dunking and fun. It was probably tough for LeBron to stay in the house and not go outside and join in the action.

Bronny and Bryce James will be attending Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Los Angeles this fall. Bronny is 14 years old and Bryce is 12. Shareef O’Neal is scheduled to make his debut with the UCLA Bruins this season after redshirting last year due to a heart condition. Shaquir, meanwhile, is 16 and attends Crossroads School in Santa Monica. He is currently ranked as the 21st best prospect in California in the class of 2021 according to 247Sports.
