LeBron showing love to a potential teammate, fellow Klutch client

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the odds of the 2019 NBA Draft lottery and landed in the top-four of this year’s draft. While they didn’t position themselves to draft Zion Williamson, the Lakers still walked away a winner. The team has the opportunity to choose from a stable of young talent with the No. 4 pick or a trade asset to provide depth alongside LeBron James. Possible prospects include Jarret Culver, DeAndre Hunter, and Darius Garland.

Garland is the second-most intriguing point guard of his class behind Ja Morant. After his freshman year at Vanderbilt was cut short due to a meniscus tear, Garland decided to enter the draft and became a client of Klutch Sports, joining the LeBron-led list of players. He played just five games during the year.

In preparation for the draft, Garland took to Instagram to express his joy. James chimed in to show support as well.

Draft Dreaming✨

A post shared by Darius Garland (@darius_garland) on

Garland left this week’s NBA Draft combine in Chicago after reportedly receiving a promise to be drafted. Rumors are pointing to both the Phoenix Suns and Lakers as the teams that have locked Garland in. Garland would add much-needed shooting and overall scoring to the Lakers next year, as he shot 48 percent from 3 in those five games he played at Vanderbilt.

With LeBron showing his love, an added Lakers promise could prove that LeBron and Klutch still have strong influence within the franchise.
