LeBron’s SpringHill Entertainment lands show on Disney+ service

Although LeBron James spent the summer on set filming “Space Jam 2” for several months, the SpringHill Entertainment production company he owns that is run by Maverick Carter is making deals with one of the most highly-anticipated streaming service release in history.

Disney+ will carry the SpringHill docuseries entitled “BECOMING,” which highlights the origin stories of star athletes and celebrities such as Lakers star Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker and comedian Nick Cannon. SpringHill announced the move on their twitter page early on Tuesday morning. Disney+ is set to release in the United States and Canada on Nov. 12.

Disney+ is releasing a backlog of Disney shows and they’re also creating their own original content, which the SpringHill show would fall under. The Disney placement also makes sense given the prior positioning of shows LeBron’s companies have produced on ESPN+, such as the mini-series “More Than An Athlete” about LeBron and his three close friends and business associates Randy Mims, Rich Paul and Carter.
