LeBron’s message to Lakers fans: ‘The playoff spell won’t last much longer’

With the games of consequence having already run out for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers this season, James took a moment to hold himself to account on his Instagram page in front of Lakers fans for what he didn’t do.

James promised Lakers fans that their playoff drought, which now stands at six seasons, would soon come to an end. Could ‘the marathon’ be a reference to LeBron’s new running-themed show ‘Million Dollar Mile’? Maybe, you can never doubt the selling ability of James. James also may have felt the need to apologize to Lakers fans considering many of them blame him for the ills of the team, specifically the morale-killing 11 days of the Anthony Davis Saga.

While James didn’t go too deep, the message is LeBron knows this season went wrong. And he’s already looking for next year to redeem himself, as well as the once-storied franchise.
