LeBron responds to Zion’s ferocious dunk with 35-foot swish

Although LeBron James may not say it, it seems that going against young Zion Williamson brings out something special in him. For the second time this week, LeBron and Zion faced off and for the second time, LeBron came out playing motivated ball, setting the tone for his Lakers team that were playing on Sunday without leading scorer Anthony Davis.

Among the many highlights from the fast-paced first half in New Orleans were several dunks from Williamson, but LeBron James had an answer to one of Williamson’s ferocious slams to end the first half. After a Williamson dunk, James responded by draining a 35-footer in the face of former teammate Brandon Ingram.

After a disappointing blowout loss to the Grizzlies last night in Memphis, LeBron has led the way for the Lakers to play a much better game against the Pelicans on Sunday. James had 19 points at halftime while Williamson had 17.

Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma are the only other Lakers in double-figures.
