LeBron on Morey’s Hong Kong tweet: ‘Could have waited a week’

After LeBron James spoke for the first time since returning from China earlier on Sunday about the situation that his Los Angeles Lakers teammates and the Brooklyn Nets were in. He also said that he didn’t believe Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey was “informed” about the “ramifications” that could come from the tweet he sent.

But James decided that he wasn’t clear enough and took to his twitter page to further address that his comments about Morey’s tweet wasn’t about its content but rather how the message would be received while there were two teams and several members of the league in China.

James referenced the financial ramifications for the fall out from Morey’s tweet when he spoke to the media earlier on Monday night, but obviously the timing bothered James and likely other players who were actually in China as the situation was unfolding.

Nevertheless, James finds himself in a very difficult situation made more difficult by his own statements on Monday.
