LeBron James works out in LeBron 17s, drops hashtag #WashedKing

While the expectations for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are much higher this season, another season brings us another LeBron signature shoe. And Wednesday’s workout session also brought us another hashtag that serves as a summary for how LeBron feels about the discussion towards him.

James showed off a workout yesterday on the “Space Jam 2” set, where he has installed a full basketball court, in a new pair of the LeBron 17s as he prepares for the coming season. And to go with the workout, a message to people who are already counting him out #WashedKing.

While Wednesday wasn’t the first time that LeBron has referred to himself as the #WashedKing, his insistence on repeating it speaks to something Kyle Kuzma said earlier this month about James’ motivation this offseason going to a new level.

Although the sentiment has never been summed up by his critics in a hashtag, it’s clearly the message that LeBron has been receiving from them. The Lakers are currently the runner-up betting favorites to win the championship behind the neighboring Los Angeles Clippers.
