LeBron James will sit out back-to-back Wednesday in Utah

LeBron James has officially been ruled out for the second half of the Lakers back-to-back tonight in Utah.

James and the Lakers are coming off their first consecutive wins since mid-January. While James has been talking quite a bit about giving his all when he’s on the court, and delivering at that, the Lakers being eliminated from the playoffs makes it pretty unnecessary to have James overextend himself.

A few weeks ago, Luke Walton told reporters that James’ groin injury was ‘still lingering’.Nevertheless, James has been making the Lakers better when he’s been out on the court. James sat two games on the Lakers last road trips, most recently last Tuesday’s game in Milwaukee. In that game, Walton inserted Mike Muscala into the Lakers starting lineup at power forward.
