LeBron James was unable to sleep in after going up 2-0 in NBA Finals

Following Friday night’s Game 2 victory for the Los Angeles Lakers, a LeBron James team is up 2-0 in the NBA Finals for the first time in his career. However, there have been plenty of times when teams have erased a 2-0 deficit, including the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers, so the Lakers need to stay locked in so they can take a commanding 3-0 lead and effectively put the series away on Sunday night. Perhaps it’s that excitement that made LeBron James jolt himself awake. James tweeted frustration about waking up super early and then also followed it up with a tweet that it’s likely because of how amped he is to finish the job.

LeBron put up a historic statistical game in Game 2 as well, putting up his fifth game with at least 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists in his NBA Finals career, by far the most such games in Finals history. Being up 2-0 for the first time in his career, the excitement is clearly fueling him even more to finish the job. However, with the Heat playing much better in Game 2 and likely getting All-Star center Bam Adebayo back, going up 3-0 is likely going to be their toughest game yet.
