LeBron James was a fan of Kawhi Leonard’s Game 1 on Saturday night

LeBron James is making the most of his time away from the game, but that doesn’t mean he’s not staying busy.

James spent Saturday watching his son LeBron James Jr. play at the EYBL event in Atlanta, but his schedule was clear to catch Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers. And like most everyone watching, James was impressed with Kawhi Leonard’s 45-point performance. Leonard, of course, will also be a free agent this summer.

Although the Lakers aren’t considered the favorite to land Leonard, even in their own city, there’s plenty of time for things to change between now and free agency. Whether Leonard would sign up to play with LeBron remains to be seen, but James has said all the right things about him over the past few seasons.

Leonard, along with Kevin Durant, will be the top free agent target for many teams this summer. Even though the outlook for the Lakers doesn’t look good, LeBron clearly hasn’t given up hope.
