LeBron James upset over NCAA’s Chase Young, James Wiseman rulings

If it’s a day that ends in “y” you can probably find LeBron James with some issues against the NCAA, but the latest bit of NCAA enforcement on two of the biggest stars in college football and college basketball have angered The King even more than his usual gripes with the college sports governing body.

James questioned the veracity of the NCAA’s enforcement on Ohio State defensive lineman Chase Young and Memphis big man James Wiseman. Young is expected to be hit with a 4-game suspension while Memphis is ignoring the NCAA’s decision to rule Wiseman ineligible by continuing to play him. With Young playing for Ohio State, a school that LeBron has long supported, he spoke out on his situation most explicitly.

James used the point that the NCAA is hammering Young for, borrowing money from a family member so his girlfriend could attend his bowl game, as an example of the NCAA only looking for money for themselves.

James is never one to give the NCAA the benefit of the doubt but as they go after the potential No. 1 picks in both the upcoming NFL and NBA drafts, they’ve clearly struck a nerve with him.
