LeBron James thanks Kyle Kuzma for chain ‘assist’

Even though LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma were watching Russell Westbrook’s triumphant 20-20-20 performance from the bench in street clothes, the two who have had a strong connection all season showed off some more teamwork on Tuesday night.

When James was on the bench having trouble with his chain, Kuzma swooped in to offer a lending hand and clasp the chain for him. James later thanked Kuzma on Instagram, ribbing the second year forward that last night’s was his first assist to LeBron.

As a point of order, it should be stated that Kuzma actually has assisted on quite a few of LeBron’s buckets this season. In fact, among LeBron’s Lakers teammates, Kuzma is third on the team in assists that lead to James baskets with 30 on the season. Rajon Rondo lead the team with 43 assists on LeBron baskets while Lonzo Ball had 40 assists for LeBron buckets.
