LeBron James declined to speak to the media both after last night’s season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers and at today’s exit interviews for the Lakers following Magic Johnson’s sudden resignation last night.
However, while James hasn’t spoken to the media publicly about the shocking move by Johnson, he has apparently indicated that he believes in Buss’s vision for the franchise, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
But despite Johnson’s abrupt resignation, James stands behind Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and the organization, the source told Shelburne.
With the season now over and James now able to turn his focus away from the Lakers and on his own training, as well as his son’s upcoming AAU season. And while he and Rich Paul likely still have a role to play in what happens next for the Lakers, it appears that they’re riding the company line. For now.
