LeBron James signature shoe well represented in Denver for Game 1 against Portland

Monday night in Denver for Game 1 between the Nuggets and the Trail Blazers might as well have been a LeBron James sneaker convention. Denver’s Torrey Craig along with Portland’s Moe Harkless and Meyers Leonard were all rocking the “Martin” LeBron 16’s during their Western Conference semifinal matchup. The recently released shoe pays homage to LeBron James’ favorite TV show, Martin. The purple and yellow sneakers also include crimson laces and feature Nike lettering on the side that matches the fonts used in the show’s opening credits. Malik Beasley, meanwhile, hit the court in a pair of yellow and navy LeBron 15’s that matched his Nuggets uniform.

LeBron certainly appreciated the love and chimed in on Twitter with a series of posts throughout the game. In one of those tweets he mistakenly referred to Denver’s Torrey Craig as James Bond actor, Daniel Craig. After deleting the mistake, James followed up with this for the trio of ballers hooping in the Martin’s.

Then LeBron shouted out Malik Beasley for repping the 15’s.

Denver won the game 121-113 so it will be interesting to see if Leonard and Harkless come back with the same shoes in Game 2. Meanwhile, expect the Nuggets to keep the momentum going by hooping in their LeBron’s as the series continues to unfold.
