With schools like Ohio State that LeBron James holds dear eliminated from the NCAA tournament in both the Men’s and Women’s brackets, he’s latched on to a team to cheer on in the coming weekend.
That team is the Oregon Ducks. James posted a photo of some special edition Jordan shoes that had the Ducks logo on the back. Oregon, of course, is the alma mater of Nike founder Phil Knight. James recently signed a lifetime contract that is worth up to a $1 billion.
James’ usual teams have been eliminated from the tournament, so at least on Thursday night he is rooting for the Ducks. Although he’s rooted against Oregon before, like during the 2015 College Football Title Game, it appears he’s aligned with them for the rest of the tournament.
