LeBron James shows some early chemistry with Anthony Davis at GSW

It didn’t take very long for LeBron James to take advantage of his new superstar teammate Anthony Davis in the first preseason game of the 2019-20 season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers jumped out to an 11-0 run in their preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco. James got the start as the team’s point guard and he did not disappoint at the controls, dishing four assists including this one to Anthony Davis off of a classic LeBron spin move in transition.

Davis was a monster throughout the first quarter. He even unleashed this flex after a putback.

Davis got busy for a few more dunks on assists from James and Rajon Rondo, whom he played with in New Orleans during his most successful professional season in 2017-18. Overall, the Lakers dominated the Warriors in the first quarter as they looked like a much stronger unit than Golden State.

While it’s only the preseason, the first experiences of the LeBron-Anthony Davis era have not disappointed. Davis finished the quarter with 17 points.
