LeBron James shows off 2K-themed LeBron 17s for NBA 2K Day

Even though LeBron James isn’t on the cover this time around, LeBron James is more involved than ever before in the latest edition of the iconic video game franchise NBA 2K. NBA 2K20 released on Thursday and while gamers will be able to engage with LeBron on a new level as his production company SpringHill Entertainment produced the game’s MyPlayer story, James isn’t just creating special moments inside the game itself. James and his team also revealed an all-purple “2K” colorway for the latest version of his LeBron 17 signature shoe for Nike.

James shared photos of the 2K-themed shoes on his instagram.

While fans can’t yet get the 2K LeBron’s, the first edition of his signature are expected to go on sale in October. Also, the 17 appears to be something of a hybrid between the 15 and the 16. The toe of this one is reminiscent of the 17s while the pattern on the back of the shoe reminds of the LeBron 15’s more bumpy heel.
