LeBron James shares excitement to play on Christmas

The Los Angeles Lakers are set to take the court on one of the most fun days of the year: Christmas.

NBA action will take place throughout the day, and the Lakers are scheduled for the festivities.

L.A. will host the Brooklyn Nets, the best team in the Eastern Conference, at 5 p.m. PT. However, the star-studded matchup will be short on stars.

Anthony Davis is out for the Lakers with an MCL sprain. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving — who hasn’t played this season — are in the league’s health and safety protocol. Russell Westbrook and James Harden are good to go, barring any last-minute changes.

LeBron James is also available, and he can also make history by scoring at least 13 points.

James shared his reaction on Twitter to playing on the holiday:

If the Lakers hope to win against a Nets team down several key players, LeBron will be the key to victory. The Lakers are on a four-game losing streak, and if anyone can take charge on a big day to flip the script, it’s James.
